Anvita Prashant Telang, 11-year-old Pune girl Wins ‘Doodle 4 Google’ 2016 contest..!

Pune girl Anvita Prashant Telang has been named national winner of the "Doodle 4 Google" 2016 contest.

November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day in India, and as is the case every year, Google is featuring the winning entry of Doodle4Google contest on its homepage. This year’s winner is 11-year-old Pune-based Anvita Prashant Telang, who designed a doodle titled “Enjoy Every Moment.”

This year’s Doodle4Google contest asked participants to design doodles based on the theme, “If I could teach anyone anything, it would be.” Google says children from over 50 cities participated in the contest, and they were divided into three groups based on their grades — Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6, and Grades 7-10. Based on the votes, the eventual winner was Anvita Prashant Telang for her Enjoy Every Moment doodle.

A student at Pune’s Vibgyor High School, Telang’s doodle depicts greenery, water, balloons among many other things that every child has grown up playing. Telang says the idea behind her doodle is, “In the current stressful times, greatest joys of life are often hidden in simple things, thus I would like to teach everyone to take time to enjoy every moment of life and appreciate the simple things around us.”
The entries that came from over 50 cities across the country were evaluated on artistic merit, creativity and theme communication as well as their unique and novel approach to the Doodle.
